Survey of State Employees Indicates Positive Benefits from New Schedule
Salt Lake City – In a survey conducted by the Department of Human Resource Management, more than 80 percent of state employees believe the new compressed 4 day week, 10 hour day schedule is advantageous.
“This survey is a critical measuring tool that will be used in our evaluation process of the program,” Utah Governor Jon Huntsman said.
“Our state is moving in a very positive direction with this initiative. We have great potential to move closer to achieving our energy efficiency goal, reduce emissions, enhance our service to the public and provide a better working environment for our state employees.”
DHRM issued the survey to each state agency executive director who distributed it to all of their respective employees. More than 40 percent of state workforce responded to the survey.
